East end of Traction
Gets
Treasured Four-Hour Parking
Within the
walls of this live-work community many residents and small business'
relay on accessible parking. Small business' with clients and
customers who need to get in and out and park for a short term.
For the last several years early a.m. Downtown workers have been
absorbing any and all available parking.
Basically, park on Traction for the work day, pay 25 cents for
the DASH bus ride into Downtown and pretty much your parking bill
for the week is $2.50. Cheap parking by any ones standards.
At the request of many
of these residents and business owners and thanks to 9th District
Councilwoman Jan Perry's office new 4 hour parking signs were
installed on June 3, 2005.
The posted signs restrict parking for over 4 hours between the
hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Ample parking for residents with out
gated parking is available on side-streets
